Who We Are

At Respire Tasmania, we take pride in our physiotherapy practice and our commitment to positively impacting our clients' lives. We specialise in neurological, respiratory, and rehabilitation, tailoring our services to meet the diverse needs of those we serve. Through compassionate care, creative thinking, and teamwork, we provide exceptional services that are customised to each individual. A day in the life at Respire

Here at Respire Tasmania, no two workdays are alike. From in-clinic appointments to home visits (in our company car) and community engagement, our work environment is dynamic and ever-changing. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to explore Northern Tasmania—from the mountains to our stunning beaches. You will work closely with a wide range of healthcare professionals, including local GPs and top-tier consultants from our Neurological and Respiratory departments across Tasmania and the Mainland.

We highly value our relationships with other Allied Health professionals, including Mimi from Thanks to Geraldine Occupational Therapy, Daniel from Island Speech Pathology, our neighbours in Canning St at Body Connect Exercise Physiology and Tasmanian Allied Health, as well as other physiotherapy practices across Tasmania. Our focus is on teamwork and outstanding outcomes.

We collaborate closely and support organisations such as Motor Neurone Disease Tasmania, ParaQuad Tasmania, Muscular Dystrophy Tasmania, and Huntington’s Tasmania, as well as with our local hospitals.

Who you will be seeing

Neurological Conditions: We offer tailored therapies for conditions such as Stroke, Parkinson’s, Motor Neurone disease, muscular dystrophy, and multiple sclerosis, to name a few. Our therapies are creatively designed to enhance mobility, strength, and independence, supporting each client's journey toward their goals. We also provide manual handling training and plans to companies and individuals.

Respiratory Conditions: Our respiratory services go beyond the basics. We are the leading clinic in Tasmania in Respiratory care and whilst experience in this area is valued, it’s not a pre-requisite. We provide thorough training for those eager to learn, covering everything from asthma/COPD to dysfunctional breathing patterns to more complex care like tracheostomies, suctioning and cough assist devices.

Rehabilitation: We craft personalised recovery plans focused on regaining strength, balance, mobility, and independence. Whether it's recovery from surgery, falls or managing a chronic condition, we’re here to support our clients every step of the way.

Professional Growth & Balance

Benefit from formal fortnightly one-on-one sessions for supervision, mentorship, clinical reasoning/knowledge and skill enhancement, supported by an annual professional development allowance.

We are committed to maintaining a healthy work-life balance, ensuring you have time to enjoy life both inside and outside of work. We offer full time (38hr week), part time and flexible work arrangements that suit your lifestyle.

Our salaries are very competitive, are based on experience, plus super.

Admin time is included within your day and we encourage the use of secure technology to reduce the time spent on SOAP notes and report writing. So you can focus on face to face connection with your clients.
